How do I install QuickBooks Enterprise 13?

First, are you using one of our provisioned computers? If so, then we have already installed Quickbooks for you, so you are all ready to go even now. Otherwise, here are directions to install it:

  1. You will need Administrator Rights on your computer.
  2. Assure that you are connected to the internet (just open your Internet Explorer and see if the home page loads).
  3. Download the Setup_QuickBooksEnterprise13.exe file (526kb). You need to allow Windows to "RUN" the program.
  4. This setup file will download QB13 from Intuit and install it on your computer. Now, the actual QB installation is 541 megabytes in size, so it will take up to a couple hours for it to download (that is not an exaggeration, by the way!).
  5. After the download is complete, the QB installer will be launched automatically. When the installer begins, then watch the following video for the rest. How to Install and Register QuickBooks
  6. Before you proceed with the installation, you should contact the Technical Support team and get the licensing and registration codes via telephone.
  7. Finally, watch the video, you will have that information at hand so you can follow along accordingly (it's easy to follow and simple).

I Can't Update QuickBooks!

First, are you using one of our provisioned computers? If so, then you are not able to update QuickBooks yourself, and so you must contact the Technical Support Team. Otherwise, then please check your internet connection. Finally, make sure that you are operating with Administrator Rights on your computer.

  4. The Download Manager will download QB11 and install it on your computer. Now, the actual QB installation is 541 megabytes in size, so it will take close to three hours for it to download (that is not an exaggeration, by the way!).

QuickBooks Crashes When It Loads a File.

QuickBooks seems to run into a problem every now and then where one of its temporary files becomes corrupted (Lord knows why) and then it crashes whenever you try to load a file. One remedy for this problem is to delete the file's accompanying *.ND file. Here is how to do this:

  1. First, make sure QuickBooks is not running.
  2. Next, browse (open the folder) to where your QuickBooks Company File is kept.
  3. You should see your Company File - it has the extension of .QBB (or .qbb) - it is always at the end of the file's name.
  4. If you cannot see the extension, then you need to turn on hidden file visibility.
  5. Now you should be able to see the file extensions. Look for a file that has the same name as your QuickBooks Company File, but has an extension of ".NDD" (without the quotes).
  6. Found it? Okay, now delete that file. It's okay, it's just a temporary file which QuickBooks will rebuild.
  7. Now start QuickBooks. If this didn't fix your problem, then you might want to contact Tech Support.

How Can I Get Remote Support?

Remote Support means that one of our technicians will log onto your computer from a remote location (like, oh, say, their own office), and they will be able to see your computer screen and move your mouse, and show you how to do what you need to do. The application comes inside of a zip-file, so you will need to extract it before you can use it. If you don't know about zip-files, look HERE. If, however, you have one of our provisioned computers, then you already have TeamViewer installed, and so you don't need this this QuickSupport. We can already connect!
